This is a nice size mat (about 2' square), and has a nice mix of layers and hiding places. The felt is a little on the thin side, so not recommended for destructive pups - although all pups should be supervised with snuffle mats. It has a non-slip bottom and it's easy to shake out and toss in the washing machine. Highly recommend this one for both good doggos and hamms!

The snuffle mat comes in a bag that has been vacuum packed. The mat/material is scrunched up really tight. So you need to spend a few minutes fluffing it up and pulling up the different petals and pieces. The attached picture shows what it looked like when I was done. It's not quite as polished looking as the ad pictures, but close enough for me. I think it's cute. That's one nice thing about this snuffle mat -- it's good for the dog's mental health and it's nice for the humans too.
One thing to note for this snuffle mat is that it takes longer to hide the treats compared to other snuffle mats. In other mats that have a bunch of even loops/even design elements, you can quickly sprinkle a handful of treats over the mat, maybe give a little shake or run your hands over the top, and the treats work their way down where they need to go. I found that with this mat, to properly hide the treats, I needed to individually place each treat. It's wasn't a terrible pain, but it did take more time. On the plus side, this same design complexity also means that the dog needs different strategies for getting treats out of different sections of the mat. And since a snuffle mat is *for* the dog, the treat hiding/finding setup with this mat is an overall plus in my opinion.
My dog really enjoys finding the treats in this mat. He took his time and investigated all the nooks and crannies. I could hear him sniffing really loudly. I think he particularly likes the size, as this mat is a lot bigger than our other snuffle mats.

When my dog was first working with snuffle mats, he would plant his paws on the mat, grab a felt piece, and pull up to rip the felt off. My dog doesn't try to rip the felt off the mat (to get to the treats) any more, so I can't comment on how durable this particular snuffle mat is. Given what I see of the stitching and what I know about felt, I do suspect that this mat is no more durable than any other snuffle mat. So, it is worth staying with your dog while he forages so you can make sure he/she doesn't tear it up.

This exceeded my expectations in several ways, particularly Pairing it with the broccoli puzzle toy makes for a full enrichment rotation. My nosey little frenchie watched me open my packages. As soon as she saw this little mat, she was all over me. Like she knew it was for her spoiled little behind.
The may is a lot bigger than I thought. It's almost the size of her, haha! But it's got so many spots for hiding!!
I hid her dinner in it and it took her about 20 minutes to get everything. And that's saying something. We have the slow feeder bowls and she still eats within a minute or two.
