I love this automatic feeder and wish I could have purchased one a long time ago. It has made my life so much easier. I found it pretty easy to schedule feedings and portions. I It was a trial and error because one portion was not enough. I also love that I was able to record my voice. My cat seems to love it as well.
I got this thing after my cat's previous feeder began to fall apart. I believe I got it for about $40. The programming is easy and I enjoy that there are 6 feeding times. I love that it came with a card showing how to program it based on how much food your animal should have for the day. Love that it has a metal bowl. Love that you can see through the food storage part. Will update if anything goes wrong!
Edit 2 months later: Still do love this thing but a couple gripes. Firstly, theres a little gap between the bowl and the dispenser area where food crumbs get stuck and inevitably fall into the underneath plastic bowl or on the floor when removing the bowl to clean. Secondly, everyone saying that the clock is losing time is definitely correct, the minutes get more and more off but honestly it’s not off by enough that it would affect an around the clock feeding schedule like my cats (i feed her teeny tiny portions every 4 hours so she doesn’t jump on my head to wake me up). Third and final gripe, I accidentally threw out the instruction book thinking I was totally fine and dandy with remembering all of the instructions, but alas, now I wanted to change the clock to account for daylight savings and I can freaking figure it out. I wish there was a digital version of the manual!
It’s great! The learning curve was a little steep too figure out how to set the time on it and the time you wanted the food to come out and just how much because you put it in quantity of pieces, but it spits out a lot more than just like one piece I guess, depending on the size of the food But to work properly you’re only supposed to have a certain size food so I just did trial and error till I saw the amount that I wanted to come out and just use that number regardless of how many actual pieces were coming out. It does come with instructions so definitely use those to figure out how to set the time because I initially tried to do it without reading the instructions. I was getting so frustrated and thought it was broken and didn’t work once I figured it out now it’s just automatic and seamless.
I’ve never owned an automatic feeder before but this one is great! Simple instructions to set up, and easy to know what portions to set it to by dispensing one portion and measuring. Sleek design and holds a lot of small food! Would recommend.
Quick and easy to set up, doesn't take up as much space as I was expecting. Portion sizes can be easily measured with a small 1/8th cup (2 portion =1/8th) cats don't seem to mind this around and even come to the voice recording.
Cat feeder is great. Several feeding times are able to be set. Cats adapt quickly and wait at the dish for their feeding. Plastic is of decent quality. Storage size is appropriate. No issues with battery life noticed yet.
This is an awesome dispenser. It had the right portion settings to feed a cat at timed intervals. I bought this to feed a feral cat in my absence. She was hesitant in the beginning but took it pretty quickly. I could load the dispenser with Meow Mix tender center kibble. Might not work for adult dog kibble.

The clock is a bit fast, has shifted the feeding time forward about 5 minutes over the span of a month or two, but it is consistent.
The only time it has failed to dispense is when the hopper was empty, which could be helped by a sensor that makes a noise/ turns on an led when empty.

First time leaving the four cats and we got one for each. (as well as having a pet sitter come in once a day). They work wonderfully and the cats got use to them quickly. Made for a very stress free vacation.
The design is very good and the value was good especially since I bought two. There are cons to it though, the user face is not easy to set and if the power goes out and you don't have batteries in it it throws everything off and if your gone your pet won't eat. It hold quite a bit of food and it's easy to clean.

I’ve had this automatic feeder for about 6 months now. I wanted to wait a while to test the durability and the overall use of this feeder before I wrote a review. I use this feeder for my cat and have it preset at 5am and 5pm. This feeder is very easy to use and very simple. All you have to do is preset the time you want to feed your cat and the portion you want to feed your cat. I think this is probably my favorite purchase I have ever made on Amazon. It’s very convenient and I don’t have to worry about waking up at 5am to feed my cat. I do a check every once in awhile to make sure it still works and it does perfect. It’s very easy to clean and it’s very sturdy my cat has stepped on top of it multiple times and it is still in perfect condition. For the price it’s a perfect purchase. It holds the perfect amount of food and doesn’t need to be changed that often until it gets low which takes quite a while. (check to make sure it has enough food in it every couple of days if you can tell it’s getting low put some food in it) Definitely one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon.

My cat not only figured out how to get the top off, but he's constantly trying to nudge the whole thing around with his face to get food to fall out. I had to tape the lids on, and super glue velcro to the bottoms of them down so he can't knock them over. It's also very hard to get two feeders to go off at EXACTLY the same time. One always lags a little.
Pretty good, though I wish the battery lasted longer.
